THE ZACCAGNINI FAMILY
“Azienda Agricola Zaccagnini” was established in 1970 by Mario Zaccagnini, my father, an entrepreneur who had never been a farmer! A man of few words, gifted with great intuition. He always loved being immersed in nature, a love inherited from his father Alessandro, known to his friends as “Lisà”. Lisà was a musician with a passion for wine, art, and nature. In the seventies Mario purchased his first plots of land in the so called Salmàgina area, close to Staffolo village. We are in the central-eastern part of Le Marche Region, 20 km from the Adriatic Sea. After a few years, this farming business, started almost as a joke, as a gesture of love for his homeland, grew to become his main and only activity. Since then, the name Zaccagnini has told a story of great sacrifice, victories, and satisfactions, achieved with tenacity and perseverance, always believing in the next goal ahead. We have seen this “azienda agricola” grow from a dream, just as we have seen the people who work with us grow every day with us. Our employees have become part of our family, and we all share something precious: our work. Mario still enjoys watching his farm grow and what was his dream has now become my dream. By my side I have my husband, Franco, a Friulian who moved to Le Marche for love. He’s a gentle, cultured, and intelligent man who likes to describe himself as a “connoisseur of bread, wine, and the delicious flavors of tradition.” He manages the cellar and balances my volcanic energy! Last but not least there is Livia, my mother, a witness to an unforgettable past, a past she continually brings to life in her signature dishes, whose recipes we guard like a family treasure. She is responsible for embodying the memory of what was once, lovingly caring for Martina, our daughter, and watching over our future.
